If you’ve found your way here, I suspect you’re one of us—someone who thrills at the whisper of folklore, finds comfort in the eerie and uncanny, and believes that gratitude can be both sacred and a little bit ridiculous. You’re in the right place.

Under the Willow Tree is more than a blog. It’s a gathering ground for the beautifully strange, the emotionally resonant, and the affectionately chaotic. Here, you’ll find dedications that hit harder than haunted house screams, lore that clings to the edges of memory, and tributes that turn inside jokes into legacy.

This space is the latest limb of a creative journey that sprouted in the furry corners of TikTok, where I first learned the power of community, storytelling, and being unapologetically weird. From there, I slowly stretched into YouTube, podcasting, and writing—each platform a new way to share ghost stories, rituals, and gentle roasts of the people I love most. This blog ties it all together.

Also... surprise. My name is Natalie.

For the past six-ish years, most of you have known me as Calypso—a name that let me slip between shadows and wear a bit of mystery like a second skin. But here, beneath the willow’s branches, I’m inviting in the full truth. Calypso is still a part of me (the chaos gremlin remains alive and well), but Natalie is the voice behind the stories, the gratitude, the haunt screams, the spa warmth, and the gentle curses in the comment section. It’s nice to officially meet you.

Expect reflections, gothic storytelling, creative resources, shout-outs to the incredible weirdos I get to collaborate with, and the kind of affectionate chaos only found in true community.

So curl up. Light a candle. Whisper something to the dark. We’re just getting started.
